Who we are

The Enter Rewards Android app and the website EnterRewards.com are provided by EDW Ventures LLC ("EDW Ventures", "we", "us"). You can reach us through the support form.

What the app stores on your phone

To do its job, the app keeps the following on your device:

• Photos you take in the app. They are saved in the app's private storage, not in your gallery or camera roll.
• Close-ups from those photos, made so you can see a code while you review it.
• What the app reads: the text it recognizes, where each code appeared in a photo, your corrections, and your batches.
• What happened with each code you work through: accepted, already used, rejected or skipped.
• A list of codes you marked accepted. This list is kept even after you delete the batch a code came from, so the app can warn you if that code comes up again and include it in your counts.

This information stays on your phone. The app has no account, no sync and no server of ours to send it to, so we cannot see it and cannot recover it for you if it is deleted or lost.

Camera

The app asks for camera permission so it can take photos of printed codes. It takes still photos only and does not record audio or video. It doesn't browse your photo gallery; it works only with photos you take inside the app. The flashlight turns on only when you tap the flashlight button.

Text recognition and Google ML Kit

Enter Rewards reads codes with Google's ML Kit text recognition. The recognition model is built into the app, so reading happens on your phone and works without an internet connection.

Your photos and codes: Google's ML Kit terms state that ML Kit processes input such as images and text fully on the device and does not send that input, or the results, to Google's servers.

Metrics sent to Google: Google also states that ML Kit sends Google metrics about how its features perform and are used. Google's ML Kit data disclosure lists this information as:

• device information, such as manufacturer, model, operating system version and build, and available machine-learning hardware accelerators
• app information: the app's package name and version
• per-installation identifiers, which Google says are not intended to uniquely identify a user or physical device
• performance metrics such as latency, API configuration such as image format and resolution, input and output sizes, feature version, event type, and error codes

Google says it uses this data for diagnostics and usage analytics, including to measure performance, debug, maintain and improve ML Kit, and detect misuse or abuse. Google also says the data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and that ML Kit does not transfer it to third parties.

This data is sent by Google's ML Kit library to Google. It is not sent to EDW Ventures, and the app has no setting to turn it off. To learn more, see Google's ML Kit terms, the ML Kit data disclosure, and the Google Privacy Policy.

Copying codes and opening program websites

• Copying. The app puts a code on your phone's clipboard only when you tap a button that copies it. After that, it's on your clipboard like anything else you copy.
• Opening a program's website. If a program profile includes the program's website address, tapping the button to open it opens that address in your own web browser, not inside the app. Neither profile built into the current version has a website address, so the app copies the code and you open the program's site yourself.
• Your rewards accounts. The app never asks for or stores your password for a rewards program, never signs in for you, and never fills in or submits a form. Websites you visit have their own privacy policies.

Android backup

The app allows Android's backup feature. If backup to your Google account is turned on for your phone, Android may copy the app's data, which can include your photos, codes and batch history, into your device backup, and may restore it when you set up a new phone. This happens through Android and your Google account, not through us, and is subject to Android's backup rules and limits. You can control backup in your phone's settings. Deleting your data

• Delete a batch. Long-press a batch on the home screen, or tap Delete Batch at the bottom of a batch. This removes that batch's photos, codes and results. Codes you marked accepted stay in the accepted-codes list described above.
• Delete only the photos. On the Batch complete screen, tap Delete source photos. Your codes and their outcomes are kept, but close-ups for review are no longer available.
• Delete everything. Clear the app's storage in your phone's Android settings, or uninstall the app. This removes all of the app's data from your phone, including the accepted-codes list. Copies that are already in an Android backup follow your phone's backup settings.

The app's Settings screen shows how much space stored photos are using.

Purchases

Enter Rewards is planned to be free to download, with a one-time unlock you can buy inside the app. The purchase goes through Google Play Billing: Google handles the payment under Google's own terms and privacy policy, and we don't receive your payment details.

To know whether you've unlocked, the app asks Google Play which purchases your Google account owns, when the app opens and when you return to it, and keeps the answer on your phone so it works offline. The app has no purchase or subscription service other than Google Play, and nothing about your purchase is sent to us. The app also keeps on your phone which codes you copied with your free copies, so they aren't counted twice.

Support requests

The support form is the only part of this website that sends us anything you type. Nothing is sent until you press Send.

Where it goes. The form sends your request to EDW Ventures' support system, which runs on Cloudflare and stores the request in our database there (Cloudflare D1). The stored record contains:

• which site it came from (Enter Rewards) and the page you sent it from
• a category derived from the topic you chose
• your message, with the topic and the app version (if you gave one) added at the top
• your email address, if you gave one
• the time it arrived, and whether we have dealt with it

Email copy. After a request is stored, a copy of it, including your message and any email address you gave, is emailed to our support inbox through Microsoft 365, which handles that email as our email provider. If you gave an email address, it is set as the reply address so we can answer you.

Your IP address. It is not stored with your request. To stop the form being flooded, the service allows at most 5 requests from one connection in 10 minutes. It keeps that count under a hash of your IP address and this site's name, not the address itself, and the count is set to expire 10 minutes after it was last updated. Cloudflare, which runs the service, receives the technical information any web request carries, such as your IP address, in order to deliver it.

What not to send. Please don't include reward codes you haven't used, passwords, or personal information we don't need. The form can't send photos.

Keeping and deleting requests. We keep a request until we delete it; the system doesn't delete requests automatically. To ask us to delete a request you sent, use the support form, choose Privacy or data, and tell us roughly when you sent it and what it said. We'll delete the stored request and our email copy of it.

This website

EnterRewards.com does not use cookies, analytics, advertising, or third-party scripts, fonts or embeds. Its only script runs the support form on the support page and sends nothing until you press Send; see Support requests. Like any website, the service that hosts it receives the technical information your browser sends when you visit, such as your IP address and the page requested, so that it can deliver the page.

Changes to this policy

If the app or this website changes how information is handled, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
